Ship to Gaza’s Israeli lawyer Gabi Lasky informed about 4PM today that additionally three of those detained when the fishing trawler Marianne of Gothenburg was hijacked on international waters, will be deported early tomorrow morning.

This concerns Norwegian mate Herman Recksten and the two Canadian citizens, activist Bob Lovelace and machinist Kevin Niesh. They have already been transferred from the Givon-prison to custody at Ben Gurion airport.

For member of the Knesset Dr. Basel Ghattas, It is true the Freedom Flotilla III didn’t reach Gaza, “ but it succeeded on its mission, it achieved by large its goals as it showed the entire world how Israelis don’t respect the International law". According to Ghattas, the Freedom Flotilla shed light on the Israeli occupation’s reality and how it turned Gaza to a closed prison.

Ship to Gaza’s Swedish-flagged fishing trawler Marianne of Gothenburg has been boarded by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) about 100 nautical miles from Gaza. Last contact with Marianne took place 00:57 Swedish time. According to information from the IDF, who does not deny that the attack took place far out in international waters, is the hijacked ship in this moment, along with the captured crew and passengers, brought to the Israeli seaport Ashdod, which they expect to reach during the day.

The Israeli military (IDF) announces on their blog that they have boarded the fishing vessel Marianne of Gothenburg on it’s way to Gaza. All passengers will be transported to the Israeli seaport Ashdod within 12 to 24 hours. The fishing trawler Marianne of Gothenburg, a rebuilt trawler loaded with medical equipment and solar panels, was boarded in international waters. Ship to Gaza had last contact with the crew onboard 00.57AM (GMT+2).

At 00.57 (GTM+2) we had our last contact with Ship to Gaza’s trawler Marianne of Gothenburg. We were informed that the three military vessels who identified themselves as Israeli navy, has now moved even closer. The distance was estimated to 500 meters. The position was located to 31° 43' North, 32° 33' East​, about 105 nautical miles from the destination Gaza city.

Today, June 26th 2015, four boats of the 2015 the Freedom Flotilla III set sail from their final European points of departure. Through nonviolent resistance they will challenge the illegal blockade of the Palestinian Gaza strip, which is running on its 9th year, sailing as always from international waters directly into Palestinian waters.

Media and the public from all around the world are following Ship to Gaza and the Freedom Flotilla on their way towards Gaza. The trawler Marianne av Göteborg and the rest of the Flotilla are now only a day or two from their destination Gaza. On-board Marianne are among others a television crew from al-Jazeera´s English channel as well as crews from Israeli TV2 and from New Zeeland, Maori Television.
