Israel has reportedly agreed to allow cement imports to supply brick factories in the besieged Gaza Strip, a union official told Ma’an News on Tuesday, following a more than three-month ban on cement imports for the private sector in the small Palestinian territory.

Israeli forces shot and injured two Palestinians with live fire during clashes east of Gaza City on Friday in the besieged Gaza Strip. 

The Palesitnian Ministry of Health Spokesman in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qidra, told Ma'an News that two Palesitnians in their twenties were shot with live fire in their feet, and were taken to the hospital in what al-Qidra reported as "moderate condition."

Maan News reports that the number of Palestinians, all at the age of 50 or older, allowed to travel to East Jerusalem in order to worship at the Al Aqsa mosque has been reduced recently by Israel authorities. At the moment, no more than 250 people are given permission at the same time. The visitations were implemented as part of the ceasefire agreement that ended Israel's 2014 war on Gaza.

Football players from the Shabab Khan Younis club have been barred from reaching the West bank to play the Palestine cup final. On Wednesday, Israeli authorites held them for twelve hours at the Erez checkpoint, before barring six players from entering the Israeli territory in order to reach the Palestinian territory of the West bank.

The Women's Boat to Gaza, a project of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, has acquired its first boat.  Amal-Hope, will set sail from Barcelona on 14 September.   The boat will carry  women who plan to challenge the illegal blockade of Gaza.

The Women’s Boat to Gaza, a campaign of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition conducted its meetings over the past weekend to discuss and further plans to set sail towards Gaza in mid-September with all women delegates and crew. In doing so we raise the issue of the ongoing illegal blockade of Gaza. Shabnam Mayet, Human Rights Advocate of South Africa says, “The Israeli occupation consistently both violates International Law and disregards UN Resolutions with impunity.”
